Dear participants:

I wish to thank all of you because your participation in the Symposium. Obviously, the successful results have been due to the quality of the contributions, support of sponsors and collaborators and attendees at large.

Delegates from 10 Universities, 37 Companies, 4 Regulatory Councils of Protected Denomination of Origin and 3 Spanish Public Administrations, have attended the sessions.

I am sure that many of the intended objectives have been reached. Surely we have moved forward to improve mutual relations among research teams and producers. Vinegar research and production need a joint action of groups working in different areas for the development of such a multidisciplinary field. In this sense, it should be mentioned that an Action is going on to create an active network of European Research Groups, not only from universities but from companies with R&D departments as well.

Also I wish to acknowledge the effective and important support from the Scientific and Organizing Committees members, that has been of crucial importance for the success of the Symposium.

Finally I would like to remind you that the next Symposium will hopefully be held in La Rioja. I will try to keep you updated by mail as well as from this site.
