In January 2003 was created the Network on Vinegars Research. Since then an important activity in order to get a closer collaboration amongst the different research groups working on this area has been carried out. A keen support has been found in sector companies as well as in the spanish administration throughout several research projects.

The First Symposium on this matter was held in Tarragona (University Rovira I Virgili) in October, 2003. This congress dealt with the main issues about this research area. Also, important companies on vinegar production expressed some of their problems and opinions about vinegar.

The successful meeting held two year ago suggested the necessity of future symposiums where last research results can be shown and round-table conferences allow to discuss the main problems to be solved from a basic an applied point of view.

The symposium is an excellent opportunity to get in contact with the different companies related to vinegars

 

OBJETIVES:

The Second Symposium on Research+Development+Innovation for Vinegars Production tries to go forward with the relationship amongst all the research groups which are working on vinegars aspects as well as the sector companies.

Though basic research issues will be considered, special attention will be paid toapplied research topics in order to solve specific real problems that companies could have.
